There's some pretty clever people out there, especially when it comes to modding existing hardware and producing something the original designers would have never thought of.

In this video Johnny Chung Lee (presumably no relation to the Street Fighter character :-) has created an incredible head tracking virtual reality display using the Nintendo Wii remote.

Even if you aren't into this geeky stuff it's worth checking out as the effect is quite convincing.
