Amazing new environmentally friendly vehicle

After fourteen years in development, French company Moteur Development International have developed what is essentially the cleanest most fuel efficient motor vehicle in history.

So what does it run on? Batteries? Water? Oil? Not even close. This car runs on compressed air, and as a result has absolutely no polluting emissions, just air.

The 'Air Car' can be 'refuelled' in a few minutes via an air compressor at selected service stations (rapidly expanding) and will let you go 200km on a 1.5 euro (about $AU2.50) fill up. Yes they will be charging for air.

The computer controlled vehicle which will sell for a realistic $7000 has a top speed of 70kmph. It is currently in production by Tata Motors for releases in Europe and India.

Sounds too good to be true. Computer controlled? Like the Zurich ad?

I wonder what the power consumption of the air compressor is (usually quite high).
