Guy meets girl though chat service: Gets robbed and shot

Nineteen year old Michael Kufrin had been 'romancing' twenty nine year old Leechelle Brown using a phone chat service when they decided it would be a good time to meet.
Kufrin went to Brown's apartment and she demanded he give her $300. She then pulled out a gun and forced him to go to a local bank to withdraw the $300 from an ATM. They returned to Brown's apartment and she unloaded 5 bullets on him, all of which made contact. She then beat him up just for good measure before splitting.
Kufrin miraculously survived the attack and is making a good recovery in hospital. The unluckiest and luckiest guy alive?

Seriously if you are going to go into any chat room or use any chat service I suggest watching the movie Strangeland with Dee Snyder. It's a movie I plan on making my kids watch before letting them on the computer for social networking through Myspace or Facebook. There are predators of all shapes and sizes out there to the point where you really do have to be a little paranoid. I feel bad for this kid, but if he had just made her meet him public he may have avoided this.

Obviously I made it out ok...but the lasting thought I had through the fear was, "If this crazy b*tch kills me, what are the cops gonna tell my mom?"
A ruffie would have been safer.
