Girls out-number guys at blogging and surfing
Mikey 8 commentsI found this news startling. Females are now the most prolific web surfers out-numbering males significantly. According to a recent American study by the Pew Internet Project, 35% of girls have their own blogs compared to 20% of boys, and 32% of girls have their own web sites compared to 22% of boys.
Figures from the UK confirmed the trend with 55% of social networking web sites are women. Research by Nielsen Online shows that women aged 18-24 account for 17% of all users of social sites while men in the same age group account for only 12%.
