New portrait of Mozart discovered

A portrait has been discovered which gives a better indication of the composer's appearance when he was alive. The new portrait (shown below on the right) shows Mozart in 1783 at age 27.

Up until now the most recognisable portrait of Mozart (shown below left) was painted by Barbara Kraft from memory 18 years after his death. I might add that neither the old portrait or the new one resemble the Mozart statue I have in my den. I wonder if I can get a refund :-)

I imagine your refund request would be met with an answer close to this.

"I do understand why would be upset sir. But I am sure you can understand that at the time your statue was created it was believed to be an accurate depiction of the composer. We had no idea this other painting even existed. I am sorry but we will not be able to give you a refund. Was there anything else I could help with today?"

"No, OK sir well you have a nice day and thank you for calling."

As a musician I am much more concerned about what his music sounds like than what he looked like.

The new portrait is alot more real than the Krafft portrait painted 18 years after after he died !
The one they found was painted from life.
Probably worth 10 million bucks !!!
