Boston Dynamics' Big Dog is an impressive display of robotic engineering, so much that it makes the Asimo look vanilla in comparison. Be sure to watch the entire video and check the impressive perfectly timed leap towards the end.
Verdict: I want one but I don't know why.

But seriously, this is very impressive. The ability to handle slips and falls is the most impressive part of all.
If they make one that looks like and AT-AT Walker, I will buy it.
