A guide to hiring women circa 1943

Oh my, how much times have changed. This 1943 "Guide to hiring women" from Transport Magazine is a reminder of how hilariously politically incorrect and sexist men were at the time. Best part:

"General experience shows that "Husky" girls - those who are just a little on the heavy side - are more even tempered and efficient than their underweight sisters"

I thought about reading this list off to my girlfriend but decided I don't need that much of a beating. WOW! that is just incredible that at one point that was an actual guide that was probably used by more than a few employers.

Darn it! I knew I was doing something wrong - apparently I should be applying lipstick more often.
