Following up on this story in which a Texas student says she was violently attacked by a group of boys. This came about over a school assignment in which Melanie Bowers was required to make a protest sign. On her sign, she used the words "If you love our nation, stop illegal immigration" which is what is to have allegedly provoked the attack.

Well it turns out she made it all up! Video footage shows Bowers deliberately scratching her arms, neck and face, before casually walking back to class and reporting the 'attack'.
