Josef Fritzl, the Austrian father (not worthy of that title) who locked up and raped his daughter for 24 years who bore 7 of his children, says he is no monster. Talking to his lawyer Fritzl says he deserves credit for not killing them all.
"I could have killed them all. Then there would have been no trace. No one would have found me out"
But he's no monster. When Nineteen-year-old Kerstin needed urgent medical treatment and was taken to hospital, says he also deserves credit for that.
"If it weren't for me, Kerstin wouldn't be alive today. It was me who made sure she was taken to hospital."
But he's no monster. Truly a saint if there ever were one. Curiously this monster is being given preferential treatment while incarcerated, that is to say he has been segregated from the rest of the prison occupants for fear of potential violence against him. My heart fricking bleeds.
This is one instance where I reckon the death penalty is too good a punishment. It's an easy way out for a guy so old he probably doesn't have many years left in him anyway. I say let him rot in prison without the preferential segregation.
