Dumb-arse thieves caught on webcam, arrested soon after

We've seen our share of dumb-arse crooks on this site and in keeping with tradition I would like to share another.
A tech-savvy woman who was robbed managed to capture photographs of the crooks using the Macbook they stole from her. She used the Back To My Mac screen sharing feature to turn on her web cam and photograph the thieves. Edmon Shahikian and Ian Frias were picked up at their homes by Police after she turned the pictures over to police, who recovered most of the $5,000 worth of gear that was stolen.
Lessons learned: Crime doesn't pay, and robbers are as dumb as they look.

I worked in a computer lab at university and used to freak out the kids by hijacking machines of suspected wrong-doers (wrong according to uni network policy) and mess with their Napster downloads or pr0n windows. Officially we were just doing it to confirm suspicions and take screenshot evidence, but spooking them made our job funner.
Yeah that's right, Napster was all the rage when I went to uni. Back then all the vacuum tubes and punch cards were clogged with mp3s...
