Trust Google to do what others have failed. Are you reading this Apple?

The search behemoth's forthcoming mobile phone operating system () is getting it's own online store.

Very much unlike the Apple situation though, Google will be encouraging developers instead of deliberately hindering them. Sounds totally awesome, and it's just one of many reasons why I think is going to wipe the floor with the iPhone's restricted OS.

When you help developers and allow them full, open access to the architecture of your operating system, amazing applications will eventuate. Just watch.
