Thunderbird 3 finally released: Go get it!
Mikey 3 comments PollFor those who care about their email client, Thunderbird 3 is finally out of beta. If you think your default email program is lacking, or if you're like me and think Outlook is overkill, then Thunderbird might be right for you. It's made by the same company who made Firefox, so quality is assured.
Thunderbird does a lot of cool things that other email clients can only dream of. Tagging for example is one of my favourite features. And just like Firefox it allows you to install add-ons so you can make it what you want it to be.
For example, by default Thunderbird does not come with a calendar. And why should it? You might not have a use for one. But if you do, then grab a calendar from the add-ons library.
Anyway, grab the new Thunderbird 3 here.

Wednesday 16th December 2009 | 11:50 AMThunderbird 3 is thundering good - lightening fast, a breeze to set up and use, and comes with handy features such as tabbed browsing. Add-ons for this version are a bit difficult to track down, but I've got what I need to keep it looking good and running to purrfection. It's FREE, and doesn't hog resources. Runs smoothly with XP. Go fetch, and let it loose...
