Anyone familiar with the first Crysis will undoubtedly know just how sublime it looked (my original review here). That is assuming of course that you had one of the hypothetical computers powerful enough to run it that hadn't been invented yet. No game has been able to match it in terms of graphics to date, even more than 2 years since it's first release.

Well it's time to rejoice, because the release of official Crysis 2 screenshots make it all the more real, and if you can believe this, Crysis II looks even better than the first. Once again it looks like our PC's will be brought to their collective knees, and any upgrade short of a HAL9000 overhaul probably wont cut it unless you're comfortable running all the details on low.

And before you ask the answer is 'yes' - these are real actual in-game screen shots of the Crytek Engine in action, not some post production Photoshop effort. Yes Crysis does look that good.
