And the list goes on.. I have seen zillions of films. Think of the time you have watched T.V. Over the past ten years...That is the same time I have been watching movies. Hey Rusty lime readers...This took a lot of work, please feel free to comment.
F-
I agree with all but 'What the bleep'. This was psychobabble crossed with misinformation, bad science and corn chips.
No good.
...in response to this comment by Jake Farr-Wharton. Thanks Jake...Did you see the Australian offering: Look both ways? It's excellent, and has for writer-director; Sarah Watt from West Footscray, Victoria.
...in response to this comment by Henk V. Indeed Henk... Most Americans have never even heard of these.
F-
One of my favs, There Will be Blood...
And nice list Friendo, I have a few more movies to put on my netflix list now!
...in response to this comment by Papa. Hey Papa, thanks for looking and commenting... I forget, do you live in Australia?? If you havnt seen it, you should really check out "Look Both Ways" it's pretty intense. As is Amores Perros.
I have been watching all the trailers as I worked on the list, and got re-interested in many of them. Those and Run Lola Run, Crash, Magnolia and 11:14 are all so cool. If you liked There will be blood, you need to see the other P.T. Anderson Films three of them listed above.
this article was allot of fun, but it took me more time than any other I have done. Have you seen Network?? It's the most prophetic film of all time.
F-
...in response to this comment by Friendo. Na I haven't seen it, I'll have to add those as well.
I am in California right now...
Some fantastic movies in this list and some for me to have a look at. Have you seen 'Moon'? I think it would be right up your ally.
PS: I'm calling Guinness to see if this qualifies as a world record for most number of videos embedded on a single page... :-)

Sunday 23rd May 2010 | 08:10 AMyou'd call guinness for a record?
Isn't that similar to calling a pastor for advise on sex or alcohol?
No...
Memento
Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind
Dumb and Dumber
But Friendo, that was a pretty good list over all.
Hi Tyler...
Thanks for the comment. Memento was good, though a bit hard to understand for me. You know about my simple mind. Perhaps if I watched Memento backwards I would have more insight into its merits.
However, I was not impressed with Eternal Sunshine (Though I do like Jim Carey) but I just checked it out on imdb, and I see that it's #57 on the all time best 250, so I 'spose it's possible that I could have missed something. Perhaps it's worth reviewing.
Please don't mistake my open mindedness for a willingness to reconsider my Athiesticity... For me, the jury has returned with a verdict...NO GOD (just had to slip that in. I should let you know however that a very close friend of mine here in Quincy, Illinois is a firm believer, and we regular smash each other over our beliefs, and are the best of friends.
However, Dumb and Dumber-oh my god, what can I say-I am afraid that your liking this movie must say something about your belief in god. Please read as much as you like into that.
Make no mistake though, friendship, brotherhood, and fellowship have nothing to do with misguided beliefs. Bur really, Dumb and Dumber is some rank shit.
Love ya' man...Keep goin'.

Monday 24th May 2010 | 12:57 AMI saw dumb and dumber. I must admit that single flash of the dumb guy thinking what rich people do at their soirees made the whole movie for me. You have to consider I had to work my way through many, many years of undergrad courses. Young shift workers and surfers tend to be very well covered by the characters in this movie.
Having gone through two lots of teenagers, I saw a lot of Carey and Sandler. Not my choice. When world movies and SBS started airing here, the movie world opened up a bit.
...in response to this comment by Mikey. What did Guinness have to say?...It sure took a long time to put it together. More cutting and pasting than I have ever done. Hard to believe it all worked. But you know me, always pushing the envelope. Or pushing the tolerance of those in charge. It's so much easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.

Monday 24th May 2010 | 02:38 AMGuinness only admit two things;
1) a lactic mash
2) nitrogenation is better than carbonation for stouts
For guinness, 2) holds. Carbonation makes the finished product too sour.
Try it at home kids. Forget the books, they are about as interesting as a nostradamus annual redact.
Don't heineken own guinness now?

Monday 24th May 2010 | 02:55 AMPretty solid list. I personally am not a huge subtitle fan myself but I do love a good foreign movie now and then. I agree with a lot of movies on this list but would probably switch a few out. Now I have a few movies to check out. Thanks Friendo.
David...I don't know where you live, but I highly recomend if you have not seen them: Amores Perros, Look Both Ways(Australian), and Network.
Thanks for stopping by.

Dude, Dumb and Dumber is some gentle comedy. The irony that a movie about two total idiots is actually itself so brilliant makes it even better.
And Friendo, I may think your atheism is absolutely baseless - scientifically, logically, philosophically, historically, and in over other possible sense - but that has no bearing on whether you would be an awesome guy to hang out, grab a beer with and catch a game. My brother is an atheist and I dont two brothers that get a long better than he and I. We have heated debates but it is never personal. So dont worry, no hard feelings.
...in response to this comment by Henk V. Henk...I think Mikey was talking about the Guinness Book of World Records. Although I love having you around, and we are frequently in agreement, I think your a bit out there on this one. What ever you have I want some...Pass the Guinness amigo!

Monday 24th May 2010 | 10:12 AMOnce again, Grasshopper, you miss the point of being a pinata in a pebble garden.
Pass the tofu salt...
...in response to this comment by Henk V. Pinata in a pebble garden...Tofu salt? Henk, you're over the top with this one. I mean I'm good at vague humor, but I just dont get it. Where did you say you were from? And what planet is that on?

Monday 24th May 2010 | 10:58 AMPinata - pinada
where would you hang it?
Buddhist monks wouldn't have chicken salt.
A man sees a doctor with a carrot in his ear and a slice of ham on his head.
The doctor says... stop right there, you aren't eating right!
Elephants do drink to forget...

Tuesday 1st June 2010 | 10:18 AMWhat?! No Terminator 2? Scandalous!
...in response to this comment by Ben Thomas. Fear not, I may do a follow up of the ones I failed to mention...However, I do not think any of the Terminator series will be on it, though I do like Arnold and both Terminator I and
Preditor I and II
