A man who murdered a single mother while her 10 year old daughter watched is claiming self defense. The woman was stabbed 145 times, 80 to the face. The child called the police but dropped the phone in shock as she witnessed the crime.

Christopher Jones used six different knives during the attack because the blades kept on snapping. He said:

"She attacked me, she stabbed me in the head. We had a bottle of wine, she always gets violent when she's had a drink"

Good luck getting a judge to accept self defense on that one. Self defense usually stops when the victim is dead. Somehow I don't think she managed to survive 145 knife wounds. And that he did this in plain sight of the daughter, I hope he gets what's coming to him, and then some.
