Good news for Windows XP owners who don't want to make the jump to Vista but secretly envy some of the good stuff. Some clever people have proved that some DirectX 10 titles announced by Microsoft as being Vista only are a result of marketing, not technical limitations.

This will look bad for Microsoft who are already having a hard time pushing Vista into the mainstream. The heavy handed approach to 'forcing' users to upgrade for DirectX 10 titles won't go down well. I hope Microsoft comment soon.
