Sir Elton blames the Internet for poor album sales

The knighted pianist is somewhat peeved to learn his latest album sales are rather poor, and says the blame is squarely aimed at the Internet. Sir Elton says the Internet stops people from interacting with each other. Go figure.

What is most curious is why he thinks anyone would listen to a self confessed luddite (doesn't own a portable Mp3 player or even a mobile phone) rant about any another technology.

The other theory behind falling album sales, although no artist would admit it when the Internet is a great scapegoat, could simply be the result of putting out a crap album. Not that I have personally heard it nor do I have plans to.

More information.

My mum is in the target market for this album. She still calls this The Email.

Haha -how does someone in his position get away with not having a mobile phone, when presumably everyone he deals with does?

I have heard the album and confirm it is bad. Elton lost it long ago.
