A gunman has killed three people and wounded five in a Missouri church. The church's pastor Rev. Kernal Rehobson is among dead, as are two of the local congregation.

Children were ordered outside before the shooting began. He held 25 - 50 people hostage for a brief time before surrendering.

What caused the shooting to occur is not clear, however an incident involving the suspect and a regular church family the night before may have triggered the event.
