Family computer interaction in 1999, according to 1967

This clip from 1967 must have been pretty amazing or even unimaginable at the time.

The time frame wasn't such a bad estimate though, as they predicted that by 1999, the average family will be shopping, paying bills and using electronic mail from home.

Aside from the amazing (ly bad) technology, it's pretty spot on, actually, from a concept point of view.

Haha. The husband keeps track of his wife's spending using his video consoles displaying the household bills.

I'm a little depressed that I still use chunky CRTs when clearly all screens are supposed to be thin profile by the turn of the century :(
