Couple catch each other cheating with each other

No it's not a follow up to 'You've got mail' or even a script to any other dreadful Hollywood movie. A married couple are divorcing after being 'unfaithful' on the Internet - with each other.
While pouring their hearts out to one another over a long period of time, the couple ironically believed they had found their soul mates in one another.
It wasn't until they decided to meet in person that they realised they had inadvertently betrayed each other, with each other. Make sense? Maybe explained better here.

You would think this would just confirm that they really did have a connection but had just lost sight of it in the day to day.... but instead they both accuse each other of being unfaithful and claim they have been betrayed (totally ignoring their own behaviour in the process).
I would think it's a little hard to cry 'betrayed' when you yourself are guilty of the same actions.
