It's not the first time this has been attempted and despite no-one ever winning when they try to sue God, it still won't be the last time.

But in this instance the Nebraska senator is suing God to make the point that anyone can sue anyone. The senator says God is responsible for:

"widespread death, destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of the Earth’s inhabitants...fearsome floods ... horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornadoes"
