Popular toy banned due to serious health concerns

The popular children's toy Bindeez has been recalled and banned from sale due to health concerns, after it was revealed that ingesting said product can cause it to form into a chemical similar to the illegal drug known as GBH (Grievous Bodily Harm).

I spoke to an Ebay power user today who says sales of Bindeez plummeted from over 100 items to a mere 10 in a very short time span, indicating people were keen to offload the potentially dangerous toys before news of the ban became too wide spread.

Due to the insane popularity of the 2007 toy of the year, it won't be surprising if the ban ruins Christmas for a lot of families. Speaking as a Father with 2 daughters who are mental for Bindeez and own more than I have had hot dinners, I won't miss finding the tiny round coloured balls in my shoes, chair, pockets, breakfast cereal etc.

I think sales of Bindeez are likely to go up in certain sections of society, now! Probably cost a whole lot more, too...

Makes me feel old, though... I've never even heard of them.

GHB - Gamma-hydroxybutyric acid (I may well have missed the joke...)
This "designer" drug is often used in combination with other drugs, such as Ecstasy. GHB is synthesized from a chemical used to clean electrical circuit boards, and is available in clear liquid, white powder, tablet and capsule form.
GHB is odorless and nearly tasteless. Users report that it induces a state of relaxation. The effects can be felt within 5 to 20 minutes after ingestion and the high can last up to four hours.
