If this turns out to happen, it might not be a good thing. Historically Hollywood has a record of breaking stuff that isn't broken with trashy half-arsed sequels, but Tron, even at 25 years old, certainly isn't broken.

On the positive side, Jeff Bridges (Flynn) is the one doing the pushing and has let the cat out of the bag that a sequel may eventuate.

I can't imagine what the story could involve. Tron wrapped up nicely and there were no loose ends and nothing to indicate that a sequel could be spawned. But like any self respecting nerd, I won't miss it for the world.
